June 2010 / Little Cranberry Island / Islesford Maine.
The flowers that bloom in the spring! There are few residents of Little Cranberry Island that would dispute that the lupines in the meadow are bigger, brighter and more plentiful than ever. However there are some splendid arrays all up and down the coast this year.
As Henry finished his wait list of commissions, he has recently turned to inventions of his own. Once again figures are turning up as elements, minor and major in Henry's paintings. While the subject remains as the landscape, Henry is indicating a human and man-made presence in recent pictures, offering the viewer yet another way to relate to the image.
